Changing Player Atts. Scale
Change Player Atts. Scale
I was able to change it to 1-100 scale(from 1-20). But now everyone sucks. 1-100 has to be the best way for everyone since you can see players Atts. more in depth but do I have to edit every players atts. now? |

They will suck no matter what scale you set. I prefer 1-100 because I have no interest in ambiguity. After all its just a game. Others really like 1-5 or 1-10. The only difference is the precision available to the observer. Bad players will be bad no matter what.

I'm saying that because some ratings make no sense.
I mean Oliver Perez on the Mets is 99 75 49 And Johan Santana (the best pitcher in baseball) is 62 64 59 And the best prospects ratings (potential wise) is 59 56 45 Makes no sense. |

That could be a flaw in how the roster set was translated. I'm not qualified to give advice on that but the numbers you posted do look strange.
Check some other players. Obviously Pujols and Mauer should have the best or close to the best batting ratings say 80' or 90's. Check out some no-hit infielders, they should have contact ratings in the 40's or low 50's. For pitchers, there is more variability. A pitcher with even ratings ie 60 50 60 may be better than a 90 30 50 guy. Another thing to remember is that ratings are relative. If the best players have ratings in the 70's then a 50 rated player is above average. Hope this helped. ![]() PS with all due respect to Santana, there is no better pitcher in the game today than Roy Halladay.

Yeah, I agree with RchW here. Scales shouldn't do anything but, well, change scales. If it is related to the roster set, I don't what that connection would be.
Scott, if you could, as RchW suggested, provide some more concrete examples in other positions, it may help gather more opinion.

As we have seen no reply from the original poster in three days, this thread will be closed for housekeeping reasons. If you need any further assistance with this matter, please post once more in Tech Support with a link to this thread and we will do our best to help you figure out a solution.
However, Scott, it sounds like you had scouting on. Scouts will obscure real ratings. If you want to see only real ratings for your players, disable scouting. |
