Game has Quit Working and Cannot Unlicense!!

I have been running the game fine until last night and the game just quit working. I am running the most recent patch of the game.

When I click on the shortcut to start the game the game will start fine, but when I try to load my saved game the saved game loads all the way, but then the game crashes as soon as the saved game is finiushed loading.

I tried to start a new quickstart game and the same thing happens.

I am running Windows Vista sp1 with 4GB of RAM.

I am running the game as an adminstrator, and I tried turning off DEP. I still have the same problem. I also tried turning off all unnecessary startup programs, thinking there might be a conflict, and still did not work.

I was going to try and reinstall the game. When I tried to unlicense the game, so I could do an uninstall the shortcut did not work. When I click on Tools --> Unlicense ootp 10, I get a pop up box with the error "Missing shortcut - Windows is searching for ootp10.exe".

You don't have to unlicense to uninstall and reinstall.

When you do, reinstall in a non-default folder. That worked for some of us who had a Vista problem in v9

Thanks RichW. Using a non-default folder appears to have worked.
