Error Code PD2.0
I am attempting to start the Linux version, patch 3. After the splash screen is up for a while, the main screen flashes for just a moment and then closes.
When I start it in tracemode from the command line, it returns Error Code PD2.0 after the crash. I haven't yet been able to run the software - I did a full uninstall then reinstall but received the same error. I'm in Linux Mint 7 (effectively Ubuntu 9.04, Gnome environment) |

additional info from log
The log lists a number of successful startup steps before commencing shutdown after:
Tue 30th Jun 17:07 startup browser history object created It then proceeds to execute what I'll say is an orderly exit, but not one that I am able to deduce a solution for. |

If you installed to a custom folder then de-install and completely from the folder. If you installed to the default folders, do the same where the OOTP installation folders can be found in /opt and ~/.Out\ of\ the\ Park\ Developments.
Then reinstall and you should be up and running. |

VirtualBox
I am attempting to run the one installation inside VirtualBox, as my non-virtualized Mint installation isn't faring any better and it's easier to monkey around with VB settings (at work).
I'll repost with my issues from the home installation. What's the problem with running in VBox? Is this an OpenGL issue? |

I'm afraid I don't have a great deal of Linux expertise, but the reason we don't support VirtualBox implementations is simply because we don't have the bandwidth to support the additional variables VirtualBox brings to the table.
![]() I wouldn't at all be surprised if it's a problem with OpenGL, but I can't say for sure, uh, since we don't support it. ![]() Thanks very much! Steve

We haven't heard much from the original poster. Since VirtualBox isn't officially supported, I'm going to go ahead and move this to the Closed Issues forum.
Thanks all! Steve
