Players can no longer be added to any trade

I was in round three or four of a trade negotiation with the AI. In the previous round, I had included Jeff Samardjia and proposed they trade me, amongst others, Michael Stanton. They rejected the offer, so from their rejection email I chose the Discuss Trade Again. But I noticed that for some reason, the email said this trade would work if I included one of a number of players, one of which was Samardjia.

When I got to the trade screen, all the players in the proposed trade were listed except Samardjia and Stanton. If I try to add either one of those two to the trade, I get an error message saying that they are either already part of the trade proposal or that I'm passing the limit of 10 players per trade (I'm not). The help button on the error message told me I had manually retired them, even though I've done no such thing and they don't show up on the retired player lists.

Now, no matter what I do (clear the trade, start trade over, attempt trade with a different team) I get the same error message whenever I try to include Samardjia in a trade. Exiting and restarting the game did nothing.

I'm on a Mac. Please help!

Hi there, and sorry for the long delay in responding to your thread.

In your case, if you haven't given up on this trade, I'm afraid it sounds like something managed to get corrupted. To have a chance at fixing this, we'd need to take a look at your files. Is there any way you could FTP your league files to us using these instructions, so we can take a look?

Well I've sort of figured out what the problem is and worked around it. When I got the NO WAY reply to my trade offer and tried to make the new trade (which is where the error occurred), I gave up and finished the day. The next day, I received an email response for the trade offer I thought had been unable to be made. This has actually happened twice now. But everything's been proceeding ok otherwise.

Hmm, I've been trying to get this to happen, with no success. Would you like me to leave this open, or should I just close this up for now, and if you come across it again you can open up a new thread?
