The target path here should be the FTP path, not url path. In League File download options: You can check the box to enable ftp downloads if you want, or you can leave it unchecked and it will use HTTP for people to download by default. In that case, individual managers only need the URL and file name to be able to download. (it is more secure and easier) For Team file export and Import: Unless you have some third party application or some other way for people to export, you probably will end up using it via FTP so would want to enable FTP for these. The manual section for this was updated if you take a look at it, there are explanations on what need to be filled out there. If any of it is clear, I am happy to try to help as needed.

I dont know...im gonna probably need a one on one walk through. As I have been up since 8 AM and working on it. Now its 1 PM....and i got no where. What do you mean ftp not url? I use that information above for Filezilla and thebatteryshack.net works fine. I have also read the help page...just made me fell dumb and confused. Which is funny because I am a computer and internet person. I make website for money as a second job and can never get OOTP FTP to work correctly. If possible...someone help me....ill probably need one on one since this is more advanced then ootp9!!!

Unfortunately I don't know that I'll be able to help with one on one me configuring it for you due to actually being at work right now
![]() As for the FTP path, it uses directory paths the standard FTP way. If various clients understand HTTP urls, that is built in functionality of them, since FTP does not use Http addresses at all. Basically when considering ftp paths, you just need to know where the relative path to where you login. So if you login with an ftp account and look at the initial directory, you have the following folders: exports , reports, leaguefile.. the path for the exports folder would be: /exports the file to the html folder inside of the reports directory would be /reports/html/ Actually, take a look at how you have the path set for your reports uploads. It is actually set correctly. You want to do the same type of thing for the ftp account. I notice that you are using the same login username for multiple places so you are not taking advantage of the added security for ootpx, so really you can just set this up the same way you did in OOTP9, just use the same information for each entry with possibly a different path for each function is all.

Ok, these are just guesses on my part. If you have any questions on some of this, you should probably talk to your system administrator as he should know this info.. I should be fairly close here for you.. and this is only specific for what I am assuming you are trying to do with what you wrote:
League File Upload Options host - thebatteryshack.net port - 21 username - batteryshack password - league file name - iBL target path on server - /ibl/exports/ League File Download Options Do i enable "use FTP to download league file"? No league file name - iBL league file url - http://thebatteryshack.net/ibl/exports/iBL.tar.gz Report Upload Options host - thebatteryshack.net port - 21 username - batteryshack password - target path on server - /ibl/reports/ reports url - http://thebatteryshack.net/ibl/reports/html/ Team File Export Options Do I Enable ftp for team file export yes Team File Import Options Do I Enable ftp for team file import yes

Sorry, like I said I was only trying to guess there. Without having access to your server to know what the paths for that account should be it is difficult. You might want to contact your server admin for assistance. These should be pretty easy for them to help tell you what the relative paths would be.

Ive tried that twice already today and neither person could get it done. Any help would be appreciated. even if it means giving you access via ftp to the server to figure things out. This is driving me nutz...never had this much problems before.

Based on your settings you provided that are working, Try this:
League File Download Options (NOT WOWRKING) not enable: League File Name - iBL League File URL - http://thebatteryshack.net/ibl/iBL.tar.gz

i put the settings in for my server when enabled it works. should the source path on server for league file download options be the same as the ones for team file import/exports? So it would be /ibl/import_export/
Should I check mark "Save FTP Account Data for team file upload in league file"? Its under league file download options and team file export options. after that got any idea on the e-mail? Last edited by Syxx34; 07-02-2009 at 09:38 PM. |

If you are not downloading via FTP, and using the default HTTP download method, you don't need the path to be filled out for league file download. You only need the file name and URL. (The other entries shouldn't even be visible for you). You do want to check the box "Save FTP account data for team file upload" so the individual human managers will have the info in their league file where they can export correctly. For emails, you should contact your ISP and ask them for what settings you need for your SMTP server and use that to fill in the blanks.

OOTP Developments

Syxx,
I'm afraid we can't help when it comes to getting Getch's utility running. However, I'm unclear whether everything else is working. It seems like you're contacting your provider about the e-mail issue, but what about the league file download? Your post below says "WORKING," but a later post seems to indicate it's not. What's the current status? Thanks! Steve
