Install on Windows required to My Documents?
Hi all,
I'm attempting to install on my laptop computer as I'll be able to use the game a lot more often, however, I am running into a small issue. The install lets me specify a directory for the application, but does not let me specify a directory for the data files. These are defaulted into a folder under My Documents... the problem with that is that my business requires that all My Documents files be replicated as a backup on a main corporate server somewhere. So, firstly, I'd rather not have the files listed there as they have nothing to do with my business, and secondly, it is taking forever because replication has to occur as it happens. I guess, thirdly, this can potentially ruin my quota. Is there a way to specify where the data files get installed? Thanks, Newper |

Hi, and sorry for the delay in responding. This time of year, we just can't keep up!
![]() The answer is "yes". If you install the game to a custom directory, such as d:\ootp10 for example, then ALL files will be installed there. It's only if you choose the default location that some files go into My Documents and others into Program Files. Thanks very much, Steve
