AAA ignores my lineups and depth charts

On my manager options page I am set to make all decisions at all levels for my organization. I noticed that my preferred AAA starter at C was getting virtually no at bats while the backup (set in both depth charts to only start if the starter is tired) gets all the at bats!

I removed the backup from the depth charge and in the primary's strategy options forced him to start at C. Same result! Short of murdering my backup catcher I can't get my starter to start.

I noticed this is happening with other AAA players and it's making me nuts. The game completely ignores my starting lineups and depth charts.

Let's get the obvious question out of the way: is your preferred starting C in the batting lineups (forget depth charts for the moment) against both RHP and LHP?

Solved over here: AAA-AI keeps playing my backup catcher

Ten years into this sim and I didn't realize my AAA league used the DH.
