I first noticed this after completing my first season with OOTP 10 but I didn't notice it until I was already in Spring training so I thought it may have been the designed feature to promote everyone on the 40 man roster. However I have just completed my second season and the AI is definitely making changes to my team.

It is still early January, I haven't even reach the preseason yet, and I looked at my Roster and a player who was in AAA is now on my big league staff. IIRC he wasn't even on the 40 man roster yet as he is still fairly young and not rule 5 draft eligable, but I could be wrong about that. I think these changes may have been made around the time that my league was auto saved at the beginning of the year.

For the record the settings I have are for complete human control over all transactions including the minors. The AI should have done nothing with anyone at any level of my organization. Furthermore I was not on vacation at the time.

I stopped playing as soon as I saw that this happened because I was not happy that I need to basically rebuild my entire organization so I have not looked at the transaction log to see if these moves were recorded but I'll do that when I open it again.

I just open up the league again and checked my team and the transaction log. There was nothing recorded in the Transaction log about these moves but then there is nothing in the Log at all for January. Currently in game it is January 20, 20... something I forget. The AI not only promoted players but also made changes to the pitching rotation. Let me know if you need any more information.

I think this issue may be related to these other issues where the AI seems to be acting on teams when it was not given the authorization to make roster moves.

As neither of those thread indicated that the problem had ben resolved I though it best to post another one about the AI messing with rosters. I just want to let all the admins know that I will not be able to respond to this thread until after labor day. Please don't take any lack of response during that time to mean that this is not still an issue or I am no longer interested in it's resolution. Thanks.

I haven't been able to replicate this in any form yet. I'm trying to think of a way of getting data/screenshots from you that will show what is going on, but since you don't know it's happened until after the event it's almost impossible to get before screenshots.

Could you take a copy of your game on the 31st December and then sim through as normal and if you find odd roster moves you can load up the other game and have a look there to see where the player was originally.

Yes I can do that. I'm not sure how long till I reach the end of the current season but I'll update this post later with an ETA on the screen shots.

I am about to enter the playoffs in the current season so I can probably get the screenshots later this week or by the weekend at the latest.

Ok, I just advanced to the next year and nothing was changed. I'll check again when I enter the preseason and see if changes are made then.

On the day before spring training starts take a note of who is on your 40 man roster. As ST starts only those people should be on your active roster.

Ok, I have just started spring training and aside for promoting players on the 40 man roster I didn't see any changes. Either I can't reproduce what had happened before or I was hallucinating that it happened in the first place. Either way you can close this thread. thanks.
