Rookie League has no stats

I am running a 2009 league and I have noticed that none of my rookie league teams have played a single game. This is not a major deal, however, when it comes time to draft new players I like to trim dead weight from my lower teams for players who have not made any improvement and to give more playing time to new guys. I am also concerned that any players in the rookie league will not progress since they play no games. Any ideas what might be wrong? All I did was start a new league and pick my team, I made no changes.

Rookie league schedules don't start until after the draft.
