Mac License not valid - my variant
I have a variant on the common Mac "license is no longer valid" problem described in this sticky:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/joom...idq-error.html 1) It will not accept my license, but it will also not then let me access the Game Preferences section to "unlicense" the game from within the application. In fact, all of the games menu choices are greyed out. I can only close the application. 2) Furthermore, even if this worked, the link in the sticky to download the replacement "OOTP 10.app" is broken. OOTP10 worked for about a week using what I think is latest version 10.2.16. Mac Leopard OSX on iMac 3.06 gHz. Would appreciate your prompt suggestions and advice! However, it is certainly possible for something to get corrupted. My theory is that almost always this occurs in the application itself, though there have been reports of problems occurring which suggest some other file getting corrupted. For example, there are some hidden files. If they are the problem, then installing a new copy of the game might not solve the problem (those files probably won't be replaced by the new installation). However, this is fixable too, though it helps if you know how to find hidden files on a Mac. Hope this helps. |
