Additional inaugural draft
I began a custom fictional league and went through the inaugural draft on 1/2/2009. Simmed a day forward, and there was another inaugural draft scheduled for 1/3/2009, but no teams were listed in the draft order.
Using version 10.2.16 on Windows XP. The league had 6 divisions of 8 teams each, with all 5 minor levels and 80 feeder leagues. Maybe the size has something to do with the problem. Anyway the problem existed in version 9, as described in this thread, and apparently was not resolved. |

Trying to be 6.5 to OOTP 10 Convert
I am a long time OOTP customer and played every version up to and including 6.5. I decided to purchase OOTP 10 and have hit the additional inaugural draft bug in a custom fictional league. One person said that they relinguished control of coaching and GM duties to the A1 and was able to get past the fatal January 3 bug. Which screen would I use to try this fix? I tried giving the A1 control from the Manager Option screen, but this did not help. Is there a screen and setting that I am overlooking?
Has anyone else figured out a fix for this problem? I have spent many hours getting to this point and this is frustrating. This is the primary reason I stayed with 6.5 -- it is enjoyable and easy to use. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Never Mind
I did additional searches and found that releasing all players and starting over was one of the few sure fire ways of getting around this issue. Very annoying, but I was finally able to get past January 3, after spending three hours re-drafting players. Hopefully, there will be no further issues like this one.
