Strange lineup behavior

I could be missing something here, so here goes...

-I have Mitch Webster batting second in the lineup vs. righties and lefties.
-Casey Candaele is set to play for Webster every 2nd game.
-When Webster plays he bats second.
-When Candaele plays OOTP bats him 7th in the lineup, and either uses my 2B or my catcher in the #2 spot.

Any particular reason why Candaele isn't batting second in the lineup on his days to play?

Occurance= always

Thank you

The replacement allows the AI to re-do the lineup. The only time the lineup is exact is when the default (your) lineup is used. As much as possible I make manual substitutions to overcome this.

A much needed addition to the "force start" choice would be a "force batting position" choice.

I'd like to see a player usage box, something like;

Primary position>>>> to stop the AI starting a player at their 4th or 5th position.
Force start
Position in batting order
Pinch run for
Pinch hit for
Replace defensively
Use as defensive replacement

With more than one or two choices where appropriate.

Those idea's would be great adding even more management options for the user, and are very much needed. My #1 being OOTP slotting my subs where i tell it to. (force batting position)

thank you for the response
