problem with ingame report on MLB quickstart

Whenever I use the MLB quickstart league, or start a new 2009 Major League game, I have a problem. The player index under history will not display correctly for the letter "s" and the letter "m". (If someone can tell me how to post a screenshot I would be happen to).

What happens is that the top, where it should say "Major League Player 'M' Index" is all whited out. If I run my cursor over it, the text appears, but it disappears when I move it away. Underneath that, the a,b,c,d,e, etc. links are all whited out. The players are not all displayed, and you can not scroll down.
