Hidden players signing major league contracts
I've noticed (via looking at the waiver wire) that a large number of high-potential, low-actual players end up on the waiver wire.
Looking into it to see what may be going on, the majority had a common denominator - they were all scout finds that signed a minimum major league contract even though they have no business being in the major leagues until they develop for a couple of seasons. Then what happens is: - the major league contract is signed, putting them on the 40-man - AI evaluates ratings daily - AI waives/DFA's the prospect since their ratings and stats obviously aren't that great I just don't understand if this is an issue regarding contract demands or an AI issue, or if this was even fixed in 10.4.31. These players don't seem to be getting picked up by any other team, but the constant DFA'ing is making them unhappy and very unlikely to develop, not to mention the bleeding of money as these contracts start to add up. |

Actually, this has been discussed and it should be an unlikely event that the discovered player is signed to major league contract. You're right. This results in the type of waiver issue you're describing. I can't attest as to whether this has been addressed in 10.4.31, but I'd guess not. If not, I'm certain it will be in v11.

Actually, I just had something worse happen and I'm not sure if this is connected.
I offered a hidden player a minor league contract. All of a sudden, he signs not the minor league contract, but a league minimum major league deal. I think we found our issue....and it's not the AI itself. This is an honest to God bug I think. |

Is it possible the patch addressed this? Are you using 10.4.31?

And no, I haven't used 10.4.31 yet (and won't until it's "official"). |
