No option to remove extensions for staff

Experimenting, I resigned a coach to a 3-year deal and then went into commissioner mode and tried to edit the deal ... I could change the dollar amount and the years, but not to 0 -- so no matter what I wanted to do, I was forced to keep this guy on staff ... even at a salary of 0.

If there is no extension, the years field is blank, but even in commissioner mode you can't blank this field.

Same for current contract.

A small oversight, but fix-worthy none-the-less.

I'm not sure what you mean by forced to keep the guy on staff. If you don't want them on the team, you just change them to a free agent and that automatically nulls out their contract correct?

Or are you meaning something else that I'm not following here?

Coaches don't have a free agent option -- the way to control them is via the contract. But you can't set the contract (or the extension) to 0 years.

So, let's say you make a mistake -- sign a coach to a 3-year extension in the middle of the current season. Whoops! You say, I meant that OTHER coach. Let me use commissioner mode to reverse the transaction.

You can't. You can only change the terms to 1 - 5 years. There is no 0 year or blank option.

My mistake, I didn't even notice you said staff/coaches. I was thinking players. It has been so long since I actually have used coaches, I sometimes forget they are even in the game!
