A player on 2 40 man rosters

Anyone have this happen before?

Team A trades a catcher to team B for 3 prospects. The 3 prospects goes to team A not problem but the catcher gets released. I tried a few times to put the catcher back on team B but he keeps getting released when we sim. Finally I just sign the player and adjust the contract to be correct. The catcher is fine but now we noticed the 3 prospects are on the correct team but on both teams 40 man roster. Very strange.

I had to manually waive and designate for assigmnet on the new team (Houston). Edit the players back on the original team (Wingate). Waive and designate for assignment on the original team (Wingate)- which removed them from the 40 man roster. Then I manually edited back to the new team (Houston).

didn't work- bacl on 2 teams 40 man roster. I tried releasing the players from both teams, trading them again, and manually editing them. The computer keeps putting them on the original teams 40 man roster even though it shows the new team.

This is an issue that occassionally pops-up and has been noted as something to look at for OOTP XI. As there is a work around, I'm closing this thread for housekeeping purposes.
