Historical draft turned fictional

Hey all...I have a solo historical league that I started in OOTP2006 or 2007. I started the league in 1950 and am currently in the 1979 season. I have made the moves to OOTP9 and OOTPX with no problems, and have been using OOTPX for a handful of seasons now.

I have reached mid-May in the 1979 season -- time for the release of the Ammy Draft pool. Instead of drawing historical names from the Lahman database files (which I have always used and are still in their specified location), the game has created a fictional draft pool. I even restored a backup and tried it again -- same results.

As I said, I have been playing in OOTPX for a few seasons now, and this is the first time the historical players have not been imported.

Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone have any explanations as to why this might be happening, or how I can resolve it?

I would hate to stop my league after 30 seasons, nor do I want to introduce a fictional element into it.

Any help would be appreciated!

i take it you've got the import historical rookies option on, sooo

Also check to make sure you've either got the allow ghost players, or the block fictional players making it to mlb.

Howver, i've done the same as you, moved from 9 to 10 as a historcial league, and i've never seen this happen so all out of ideas really

Ghost players are off, no fictional players whatsoever.

Like I said, what confuses me is that I have played a few seasons in OOTPX with proper draft classes, and as far as I can tell, no settings have changed.

Did you ever find resolution for this issue? I started a historical replay (of sorts) in which I want to import real rookies and hold an annual draft. After first year of play, fictional players were created for the draft.

I have import historical rookies enabled, and amateur draft enabled as I want to hold a draft of rookies, not assign them to original teams. I have ghost players enabled -- no fictional players at all (up to now).

Shouldn't this be possible?

Have you checked the location of your Lahman database? Has it moved or did you download and install an updated version of it?
