Crashing issue

Hi. I've had OOTPX for 6 months (after download in June) and played it fine until this morning. I have a Gateway - Vista OS. The display driver OFTEN crashes and it did while I was in the middle of an offseason today.

I have to hold down the power button so the computer turns off. I reboot. Turn on the game. Looks fine, no issues until I goto the manager "news" page. Screen then went white with "Windows has a problem running OOTPX". You cannot navigate off this screen without having the whole game disappear and turn off. Went thru this several times.

Reluctantly decided to un-install and re-install fearing I'd lose all the data, teams, leagues, etc.

After re-install (using the CD), I was surprised to see the leagues still in place. I went back to the manager 'news' page. Same thing. I uninstalled and reinstalled three times. No help. Game is unplayable as is.

Keep in mind, I can navigate anywhere within the game fine until I come to the manager 'news' page, then then crash.

Got anything for this? Thanks.

Have you had recent Windows updates? That's when my troubles started.

Does this happen in all leagues?

Does it happen if you create a new league?

Thanks for the quick response

Didn't think to start a new league. Was just concerned with the one I had.

And, no, didn't have any new files.

Thanks, guys.

There are extensive posts and threads available to read on the various Vista issues. I suggest you do a search and pick up this info.
