Sick of this game

I'm so pissed right now. I'm tired of spending countless hours trying to make something work and it continues to break. Great way to start a problem I know. But I can't overstate how frustrated I am right now with OOTP solo historical play.

I've tried many times to sim a historical league from the 1800s and change things season by season myself. Always some error crops up and ruins my league.

This time it has to do with the minors which are evidently stuck in 1883 and I can not change the structure or schedule. My major league are in 1885. It's really annoying when some much is lost due to a glitch in the game. If anybody can fix my issue let me know - but I have no idea what happened or how it happened, only that I can not sim in the minor leagues or move the teams or edit the schedules. I would restore a back up but evidently I noticed the issue too late and the backup is from when after the problem started occurring. The game keeps telling me when trying to edit the minor league schedule it can only be changed in the pre-season. I've been in the Major League pre-season twice now - no dice. When trying to move the teams to another league, the teams simply are not there. I assume the game does not recognize the season as over so the teams do not appear for moving. Is there a way to force the game to recognice the end of a season? Is there a way to delete the 1883 minor league schedule and go forward? Any fix at all would be nice.

The only way I see out right now is delete the leagues and lose 13 seasons of minor league history. And I'm not even sure that will work.

As I've tried this many many times to play a historical league with the same result, a league is some glitch loop or error, I'm at wits end. The resulting frustration has driven me to the point where I'm ready to quit buying and playing OOTP.

I managed to move other teams into the minor league leagues - but I can't move them out once they are there.

My guess is I can recreate new minor leagues and move the players to these teams and then delete the old minors but I lose the history of these minor leagues. Assuming this would work, is there another -better- way?

OK I think I know the issue. Still no way to correct it...

Somehow the minor league schedule got flipped into the offseason... don't get me started on how that happened. I don't know *glitch*

Anyway I kept trying to change things but it wanted to be in the offseason/preseason. So I simmed to Jan. 31 and the preseason. It still would not let me make changes to the schedule or structure. So I looked and the playoffs where going in the minors on Feb. 1 - so I disabled those and simed thru the preseason trying to make changes. No dice. I figured I'd have a shot at the changes in the following preseason. No Dice.

I think when I disabled the playoffs it caused the game to not know when the season ended. And now there is no way to make the game realize the season has been over for over a year, even with changing the playoffs.

I wish I realized this before advancing and backing up.

Sorry that it has taken this long for someone to get back to you on this problem. I recall seeing a similar problem before (but I can't put my finger on the thread for it at the moment)

If you still have those files could you upload them to the FTP site as per the instructions in the How To FTP Your Files to Us thread and I'll see if I can work out some way of fixing it.
