Game crashes after install

Hello, I had a virus and needed to do a system recovery on my machine, losing license and all program files. This is a windows XP machine.

So, I downloaded, installed and patched (10.4.36). Then I started the game and licensed. The window told me that the license was successful.

Then I hit the "launch" button and the game crashed.
After that the game continues to crash.

Is there something I need to do? Do I need a service pack or something? Is it a license issue as I know I already installed 3 times on this machine?

You shouldn't need to install and patch...
If you get the full 10.4.36 file from here just install that.

Also (as you have had problems) I would do an install with Anti-virus and Firewall(and internet) turned off.

Now you have installed the licence you shouldn't need to un-licence (as you are on XP).

I would even say go totally by the book...
i.e. uninstall....restart
AV disabled...install...restart.

See how it goes...even if it was the full file you downloaded...I would try a fresh download...just in case.


Just seen the fact that you have installed licence 3 times!!!
You only get 2.
If you haven't unlicenced at all......then something is wrong to begin with.
Or is it.....you may have lost one licence...(not for good,contact your particular licence people)
if you did not unlicence before the original recovery.
If you then licenced the next install, that would have used the second.
Even if you did an uninstall/install you would only need to re-licence if you had unlicenced....

Thank-you much SMFXR01! That was the problem. Played around with my anti-virus settings and got the game to finally run with the anti-virus software running also.

This issue can be considered closed.
