IMPORTANT: OOTP on Windows 7

Here is a list of OOTP issues relating to Windows 7 I have found.

-OOTP not recognized as a game, and considered to make "unauthorized changes" to the computer for some reason. This does not occur with my OOTP8 game on Vista.
-Therefore, it requires you to be an administrator or to disable User Account Control.
-If you use a standard account and manually approve it with an admin account, the saved game path is that of the admin account.
-There is no way to unlicense due to a missing file.

Will there be an emergency patch for this?

I'm having trouble getting OOTP6 to even open on Windows 7.

I am running OOTPX on Vista but I am also having the problem of not being able to unlicense due to a missing file.

funny how it hasn't been fixed since I posted on this three months ago. i guess no one from ootp ever looked into it. in anycase, this was the only solution that i could find, but i'm not sure how good it is to do this...

If you want to unlicense, bring up the Run box and paste this into it (replace drive/directory as needed).

C:\Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10\ootp10.exe -unlicense

I am terribly sorry it's taken so long to officially reply to this thread.

Thanks very much for this information. Since OOTP 10 does not officially support Windows 7, there will not be any emergency patch to address these issues. However, we'll do our best to make sure these issues are addressed in OOTP 11.

Just because someone overuses the "copy this into your sig if you agree" stuff doesn't mean they're unoriginal. Copy this into your sig if you agree.
