Can't offer my scout an extension
It's August in my league, and that's around the time I start checking my personnel to see whose contracts are up at the end of the year. I see that my scout, who is extremely highly rated, has his contract due to expire, so I right click on him to offer him an extension. The "Offer extension" option isn't there. It isn't there in the "Action" menu of the scout's profile page either. I can offer extensions to all the other personnel on my team and minor league affiliates (even those whose contracts aren't up for a number of years), but not the scout.
I really don't want this guy to leave. I searched on the forums and hadn't seen anything like this before. Any ideas? Is it possible the game is planning on having him retire at the end of the year (he is 67) and I just haven't been told that? Thanks... |

Oh good grief - you're right. I must have extended him earlier in the season and completely forgotten. The "Personnel" screen still had 1979 as his contract year, and I completely overlooked on his Profile screen that it had an "Extension years" screen showing that I had already extended him.
Thanks for the reminder. Sorry for being stupid.
