the longest download is the first file. and unless you are on dial-up it should only take a few minutes, 10.....at most. the updates are done in-game and and the whole downloading and updating takes 5 minutes at most.
at least on my machine & ootp9 leagues i was in, i don't see any rason ootpx would be any different

It really depends on how big your league is. If you have a ton of international or feeder leagues or such, the league file will also be larger and take longer to upload/download. It also depends on how much bandwidth you have and in a small sense how fast your computer and its hard drives are.
With a fairly small league on a pretty fast connection, I usually upload my league file in under 2 minutes. When I travel and do it from hotels and such, it could take 4-8 minutes. Larger leagues might take longer however. Downloading and exports don't take too long at all. They only are about 50-150k in size. The big bulk of time is taken by uploading HTML reports if that is something you are thinking of doing. There are virtually thousands of files involved and could take a few hours to upload.

Yeah, the GUBA (36 team league with full minors), the file takes I'd assume 15-20 minutes to upload to the server and just a couple of minutes to download.
The HTML is the brutal part - it basically takes all night because of the amount of files to upload. When we run a sim at 11pm Eastern, we'll say "HTML in the morning" and it will be up 9 or 10am simply because that's how long it takes. Now, that's with OOTP9 which has a well-known issue with how long it takes to generate reports. I don't know about OOTPX. |

I thought I had some problems with my hosting service because it took that long with OOTP9! |
