Re: FTP Server

I'm looking at the instruction manual now but it's a little fuzzy.

I've tried to save some info to the server (as the Commish) but I'm getting an errot that says http path not found. I'm on the "Online Options" screen in the "Game Setup" area.

The manual says

"Enter the directory path in which the league files will be stored. (If you are using our Online League Security Recommendations, this should be your "League File Directory.") The path should be entered relative to the root directory of the FTP account used above, and not relative to your server's root directory"

Per the "Security Recommendations" above, I set up separate folders for downloads, uploads, and reports. These are located at:

E:\OOTPX\Downloads
E:\OOTPX\Uploads
E:\OOTPX\Reports

I'm not sure how to list the specific command/entry for the "Target path on Server" and for the "Source path on Server"

Are those the same thing?

I simply cannot get the format correct for the field. Bummer.

Anyone have some specific ideas on how they formatted their online access.

I get an error in my FTP software that indicates "Directory not found".

I'm trying to sort this out on the FTP website as well as here.

My impression is that I'm not presenting/formatting the data source correctly.

The FTP path in the manual is discussing the directory on the FTP server that you are uploading to and not your local path on your computer.

So where you have:

E:\OOTPX\Downloads

that I am assuming is your local computer's path correct?

Basically what you are trying to tell OOTP here is where to put the files when it logs in using the FTP account and password that you input.

So if you were to ftp to your ftp server using username and password, and then want to go to a "downloads" directory once logged in.. If that is where you want your League file to go.. the path that you enter into OOTP would be:

\downloads

I'm pretty sure I haven't tried that. I've tried so much other stuff, I can't even remember what all the combinations are.

Okay, well, I can make a connection and find the directory. So I'm making progress.

But I'm still getting an error that says "/reports/html" directory not found.

"reports" in the error message might be "downloads" or "uploads" or "reports" depending on which file I'm trying to access.
