How Do I Do This?

I'm having some problems setting this up.

I have a friend in Iraq who has OOTPX and we're trying to set something up so we can play each other. We considered using an FTP exchange but I'm not sure that is going to work out based on his situation. He's expressed some concerns about FTP technical issues where he is located so that might not be possible. He suggested that we play in the following manner:

My question is will it work. And how do I set it up.

We exchange information via email.

I set up the league, input all my preferences, send him the saved game file, via email.

He loads the saved game file into his game, sets up his preferences/linups etc and then runs a week of games. He loads his preferences/linups and so forth for the next weeks games and then returns the file to me.

I get the file, load it, set up all my preferences/linups, run a week of games, set up my preferences/linups again and then send it back to him.

Rinse. Repeat.

It seems like a good way to do it. My friend is available for long periods of time and then he goes on assignment he can be away for many days at a time. So it's hard for him to be in any sort of regular league.

I'm looking this over now. I think I can get it to the point where I can send the game files (maybe). But when they get there, I'm not sure how to get them into my game.

I welcome any suggestions.

I'm not sure if this can be done. I just tried sending a compressed file via email but I think the file was too big. I compressed a regular saved game file using WinRar and tried to send it. No cigar.

The only other way I know to do it is to zip it. Although that is a lot slower and not quite so compact.

I'll give it a try just the same.

Can't do it with Zip files either. The files are too big to be emailed by my ISP.
