Starting First Online League

A friend of mine and I used to always play using the same computer and having to switch user manager and it took forever. We both bought it this year and decided to try to do our league online. I put in all the pertinent info in terms of where to upload it and when I run "test league file upload settings" and so on and so forth, they pass. For some reason though I am not seeing the option to upload the league file on the right in the online options screen. Does anyone know why this might be?

It would be in the Commish Portal. To get to that, on the top bar go Manager Tab then in the drop down it's Commish Portal.

Once you're there, go to the League File Center, create the files, archive them and either upload them in game or via FTP Client such as FileZilla. (I recommend the latter)

Got that settled! Thanks!

Now, how does a non-commish manager load the game for the first time? They can't load the .tar.gz file and when you extract it it only has two .dat files. Should I send the entire .lg folder the first time?

To get started, a non-commish manager does need at least all of the .dat files. These .dat files should be in a .lg folder (such as YourLeague.lg) which he inserts into his saved_games folder.

The Commish should set up the manager's "account" within the game, before the manager receives the setup .dat files. That way, the manager can log in to the league. Once he has the game loaded, the manager can "Load online league file" from the "Game" menu, which will download and install the league's .tar.gz file.

In the initial setup, the Commish can include the other files, besides the .dat files, that he wants the manager to have. It's useful for the manager to have all of the archived .txt files from within the news/txt folders. Be sure to preserve the folder structure when assembling the setup .lg folder.
