Converting from 8 to X

I didn't see anything here, and I know we are late in the process, but we are considering moving from 8 to 10. After doing the convert I noticed that all my on-line FTP settings were blank.

I how have a lot of options I didn't have before.

Given the problems I have seen after the patch on setting up leagues, what would be some recommendations on how to set this up?

The recommended approach is to create a seperate account for the GMs in your league to use for team uploads (and league file downloads if you choose to use ftp for that).

Give the GM account only access to those directories so it can not be used for hacking your website.

Do not give your commissioner account out to anyone else, there is no need. Use that one for team imports, league file uploads and web report uploads.

We are working thru the connectivity issues.

However, I can't get X to read my database. Has anyone converted an on-line historical league, pulling new players in each year. If so what are the steps. It simply can't be as hard as it seems. After a week of reconverting and test I still can't get a season to run correctly.

It also completely distorts all our financials which will bankrupt every team in the league. I am going to have to run some tests to see what can be done, but at the moment that's not possible.
