keep imports?

do you guys keep imports from your owner?

I saw this as an option in the manual:

"Rename team export files after import (the file will be renamed as team_#.ootp.imported_date_time; for example, team_1.ootp.imported_20070206_083110)."

is it useful, or does it balloon too much to be useful?

pros and cons?

I just let them overwrite. I suppose it could be beneficial if you had to go back a few sims due to a bug?
