Seems to me it's just a variant of the AI already in the game. That is, free agent players already have AI routines which govern whether they'll accept a contract offer from one club or another. Players choosing to join this league or that is essentially the same sort of thing.

In any case, I'm simply pointing out a roadmap of where the game ought to (eventually) go if it's to be the best and most realistic it can be. Naturally, not every road travelled will be an easy voyage, but the value of the destination is what makes that road worth taking.

They don't choose between multiple leagues terribly well right now, as I recall. There are, of course, currently options to share FA pools.

You're more tightly focused on the financial side than I am, but nevertheless, what you've said is pretty much it. A well-defined roadmap is a hugely important item.

Markus, should we give up this revitalized attempt to get this implemented in the late stages of OOTP10? Is there a chance for it being in a patch for OOTP10? Are our simple and basic suggestions mapping out this feature helpful? What can we do to help this process? My relentless passion will wear you down, eventually...

You would have to have Independent Leagues in your League.

i would love to see this idea implemented... ttt with this thread. Although, I still want to see minor league contracts with the ability to add a signing bonus more than this. Although, if you just added the purchasing of player contracts, I feel like i could come somewhat near to re-creating the amatuer FA market.

I feel like if you added both of these features, you could really, really come close to capturing the international part of controlling a major league franchise. Going outside of the realm of league FA and amateur drafting to the other half of baseball's player market. To me, thats the one big thing this game is missing.
