Reserve clause in OOTP10
I'm kind of excited about the new arbitration screen in 10. Will you be able to turn off free agency and still be able to use it, to negotiate with each player during the off season? With no free agency, the only option would be for a player to 'hold out' or retire. Smooth negotiations that meet the player more than half way could improve morale and only 5 star players would have a small chance to 'hold out' into the next season.

My opinion is that pre-free agency periods are not well supported by the game engine. I'd like to see some improvement in that for Version 11.

I'd agree on both counts. In my estimation, to really do the reserve clause era properly (not to mention the modern era better), it's going to take an overhaul of the financial system model in the game. For good measure, throw in an overhaul of league interaction and the major-minor relationship too.

Perhaps. I see the financial system and league interaction as related items, since they each depend and influence the other to some degree. Writing a detailed proposal for this is going to be hard because of the interconnectedness of finances and leagues... one of the reasons I haven't sat down to do it yet...
