Trying to Set Up My League in Preparation of OOTPX
So I am trying to setup my league in OOTP 9 to get ready for OOTP X.
What I want to do is start a league with fictional teams. I plan on starting with 12 teams (two six team leagues with each team having a AAA affiliate as well) and then expanding as the league gets older. Will start in 2009. The twist is, I would like to use MLB players. I would like to use a random debut database for amateur drafts(cannot figure out how to do this as ACCESS won't run on OS X) so I could essentially have Cal Ripken Jr. and Hank Aaron come into the league at the same time. I want to start off with current MLB players in the inaugural draft. Can anyone help me with how to go about this? |

I've never tried it, but I noticed you waited awhile and got nothing so I figured I'd give what I could...
I'm sure it must be possible because I'm sure I've read that others have done it. I also noticed the other day while in commish mode that at the bottom of the FA screen that there was a "Import Historical Player" button. You can also import rosters from one of the game setup screens. Anyway, search the online manual and/or the forums and I'm sure you might come across some way of doing it. EDIT: Heh, you wait a week for an answer and then I get beat out by 2 minutes in replying.

I'm not sure if this will help at all, but OpenOffice works on the Mac and it has a program called "Base" that can open Access files. Here's a link:
