General Discussions Moderators: Please Post a PBP/News Typo/Error Sticky After Release of OOTP10

It would be great if you would post a sticky "Please Post OOTP10 PBP/News Typos and Errors Here".

We really got good response to the text error thread in OOTP9.

Yeah, and as predicted, users starting posting all kind of tech support topics into the general discussion area thinking it was proper because they saw that sticky. They should just do away with the tech support forum.

That way it would be titled correctly.

Eugene, in light of StyxNCa's observation, what if they put this year's thread as a sticky down in Tech Support?

I didn't notice what he did, but I did notice that Version 9 General Discussions has so many stickies that I need to page down to see the first non-stickied thread. Tech Support has fewer stickies, so yours might stand out more.

It probably would not get nearly the same exposure. Although I should do so more, I visit Tech Support only when I am posting or researching a problem. I don't think people associated typo's with technical problems. I am betting EC will prefer the post here on this board, with the most traffic.

Agree. My preference would be for a sticky at the top of this forum.

Far more people visit here than the Tech Forum.

However, if it causes a problem on this forum, the Tech Forum would be a solution.

Or I could just post my own PBP/News Typo/Error thread here and just make sure it stays on page one. That way a sticky would not be necessary.

I will work with whatever the moderator decides to do.

I hope they will sticky it here on the Main Discussions Forum. We can really perfect the PBP and News that way.

The important thing is to fix errors in the game. The more eyes we have proofing it, the better it will be.

I'm always adding to the PBP Errors thread as I see them.

Actually, that may be also what I do as part of my first couple of days in OOTP 10 - just start a major league game for the purpose of testing PBP errors

If you put it in Tech Support then the number of people who read it or post to it will drop astronomically. If your objective is to identify as many bugs and errors as possible then you need to put that thread in this forum, not in Tech Support.

Do what you like, but do be aware that putting the thread elsewhere will significantly compromise your mission.

With OOTP10 coming out this month, I hope that the moderator of this Forum will put a Sticky for gamers to post PBP/News Typos and Errors.
