OOTP: 1 Unix, 1 Windows license?

I'm sure this has been covered, and I apologize for bringing it up if it has.

Has there been any discussion of allowing persons like me (who have a Windows primary box (albeit dual-boot Ubuntu)) and a MacBook to pay the $30 or $40, but get 1 license for each OS?

OOTP will be going with me on my business travels (the Macbook) but my gaming rig is booted in Windows 95% of the time.

I do have VMWare Fusion for the Mac, but I'd like to take advantage of the speed I gain running OOTP natively in OS X.

They where looking into that, but at this time, the licenses come from two diffrent companies, so that option is not avalible.

IIRC, the Linux / OSX license is cross-platform, the Windows license is not.

By cross platform, I assume this means across only Unix-based systems and not to Windows.

So it sounds like I'm stuck buying a Windows license and running it in a virtual machine (*sigh*) on the Mac?

Does anyone run the Unix prog in a VM on a Windows box?

That's correct.

Yes you are, unless you want to buy the game twice.

Yes, everyone here is correct. The licenses may be shared across Linux/Mac, but cannot be shared to Windows.

We hoped to have a resolution for this this year, but unfortunately were not able to make it happen.

Sorry about that!

Steve

It would probably just be alot easier for everyone if you just took out the PISD and Viatech stuff out of the game. You could just sell the game through the honor system. I am sure it would work

It's disappointing.
