Question about Historical Simming

All,

I know there is limited knowledge of how OOTP X will work so I will ask in reference to previous versions. But if I were to do a historical simulation starting in 1994 would the current Lahman database also backload all of the history? So basically all of the career leaderboards were up to date (as of the start of 1994 of course) and you just basically started with simming at the beginning of the 1994 season?

if you checked the import history box then yes, if the box isn't checked then no. up to you really.

Yes, you have the option to do that. Or the option not to. Just make your selection when setting up the league.

I believe that this is optional in the latest version, and imagine that that will probably continue.

If you want all career leaderboards to be correct up 'til 1994, you can certainly do that. But the feature isn't mandatory because people may wish to reduce the size of saved games / loading times etc.

EDIT: Like, three near-simultaneous answers to this...

Thanks all. I have been playing religiously since OOTP 2 and never really used the feature since I was simming from that point with my own teams. Fast forward to this version and I have made the decision to scrap my history and start over from 1994. So this option will be great to have. Its funny I hadnt really tried it before - so thanks!

Like the others had said it's easy to do it since it's just a check box that you have to choose when you create your league. But be prepare for a long wait if you import all the history untill 1994. It is if you choose to use the Master.csv file for doing it, but if you choose the historical_database.odb file it will be fast.
