Making sure I understand foreign player limits
I'm sure this has been covered ad nauseum, but I just want to see if I have it straight (because it doesn't seem to be working correctly for me.)
Say I have a LEAGUE based in the USA and a TEAM based in Canada. I want there to be a limit of 3 foreign players on the Canadian team. So, obviously, I would set the foreign player limit to 3 players and set it to apply to the Team Nationality. I'm 99% sure I've got that right. (Right? )Ok, now for Foreigner Percentage. Let's say that ALL my teams in the USA-based league are in Canada. BUT, I don't want any of the players to be from Canada. Shouldn't I set the Foreigner Percentage to 100, thereby making all the players in my league non-Canadians? (To all the Canadian OOTP'ers out there, this is just an example. I don't discriminate against Canadians )I guess the main question is, doesn't Foreigner Percentage apply to the LEAGUE and not the TEAM? |

Foreigner % applies to the home league, yes. For example, in my "world of hockey" that I referenced in the other thread, my league is based in Canada to give me a majority of Canadian players. However, I get my foreigner percentage at 45 to reflect 55% Canadian and 45% rest of world. Now, for your big question, if you don't want any players to be from Canada in a US-based league, set the Foreigner % to ZERO, not 100. Conversely, if the home nation is Canada, you'd want it at 100%. |
