creating my league in 9 and transferring to 10?

I want to create a new fictional league over the next couple days and am wondering if there is anything I should know about league setup for transferring it to 10??? any tips would be very appreciated!

Rumor has it that if you make a league in ootp 9 and you transfer it to 10 you won't be able to use the new pitching system. I read that some where on here.

I consider this like a new operating system. Start from scratch and you'll have less issues.

Seriously, like these other guys said, I think you'd regret not waiting a couple more days. Maybe you could get on the web here and collect all your logos and city names if you haven't already.

Ask for a sponge bath when a hot nurse is on duty. This may help pass the time.

I would agree with this. There can be issues in migrating leagues from one version of the game to another, though many people report no great problems. I always start a new league when a new version comes out. Heck, I start a new league when a major PATCH is issued! Anyway, if you're new to the game, you could always start up your new league now, transfer it over to X and use it as a learning deal to get into OOTP. You can keep it going or start another league later in X depending on how things are working out and what you might want to do differently if you start again. Again if you're new to the game, I'd suggest starting with a smallish league so you can get into it without being overwhelmed.

You should have no problems importing from OOTP 9. The opening screen has a button to Import from 09. Warning: It will run for many minutes.

Yeah, there's plenty of work that can be done to keep you busy over the next two days.

How many minor leagues were you planning on having?

Thanks for that Rasnell. There's been a lot of confusing anecdotal stuff on these boards of the " I've read somewhere that x or y won't work if you import a league" variety...and I've been guilty of it

well I am in the hospital because I was so impatient!!! I told my girlfriend and I quote "if Markus doesnt release this damn game I am going to hold my breath until he does!!!!" next thing I know I woke up in the ER.

just kidding. I went to the doctor and had a blood test and they admitted me because I was low on blood now they actually made me swallow a blinking pill that takes pictures and sends them wirelessly thru my stomach and small intestine to a computer in my room so they can take pictures.... creepy huh!
