Cameron Maybin's history page satrts out like this...

: Miguel Cabrera.

Either the whole Detroit-Florida trade is missing or it's just on Maybin's page. I'm not sure cause I'm on my laptop right now but I can check later if y'all don't beat me to it.

EDIT: Actually the DET-FLA trade is in his history but it's not complete. It says "12-05-2007: Traded by the Detroit Tigers. along with Eulogio De La Cruz, Mike Rabelo, Andrew Miller, Burke Badenhop, Dallas Trahern to the Florida Marlins in exchange for Dontre"

...and then it stops. Also the "Traded by the Detroit Tigers" part doesn't have to be its own sentence, it can be included in the second part "along with..."

into short center...
trouble for Sizemore...
but won't get it...
it falls in for a hit.

Should be 'but he won't get it...' IMO. Even better might be 'and he won't get...' since the trouble part is setting him up for failure and the next line only reinforces that. The word but makes it seem like he should have gotten it.

Fixed that one.
So it can fit with other objects that may come up around that object it needs to stay "but"... but it was certainly missing the "he".

Think that one should move over to the 2009 roster guys thread.

"batter" swings...
it's a high popup...
to shallow left field, down the line...
drifting under it is "first baseman"...
and he hauls it in...

Per log - - - Fly out, F3 (Popup, 9LSF)

Must have been really high for the 1B to drift into shallow left field.

Any idea what the news should have been?
I don't think ID 120 has anything to do with the text database.

Division-Championship series winners

I have always thought there should be a story in the news when a team wins the Division and Championship series.
Pretty sure in Real Life the news would be full of stories about the winners of these series.
Thanks
Gil

There is news about the winner of the World Series now... we're 1 for 2 at least.

A little confusing wording here.

"Their number of runs scored of 23"?

Maybe should be "Their 23 runs scored...."?

Also

"gave up 32 runs" should maybe be "have given up 32 runs".

Alright, this isn't an error.

But this is the funniest and most unexpected thing I've seen in OOTPX so far.

Great job to whoever put this into the game. It makes it actually feel like a broadcast.

pops it up a mile high...
to short left, down the line...
and the ball bounces to the corner...

How does a "mile high" pop up to "short" left get into the corner??

Someone needs to BZ it.
That first line is conditioned for an infielder making the play... surely an infielder isn't digging it out of the corner.
