Pitcher's offensive abilities

I'm loving OOTP X. I love so many of the changes, the layout, the streamlining of important data. It's fantastic.

I do want to ask about something that seems to have never existed, and continues to not exist...

Pitchers as batters. There are no batting stats listed for a pitcher on his player screen. I have to go to the reports, and look at the batting stats tab. Playing in a world with no designated hitter, the pitcher's offensive numbers are as important as any other player's. Why can't they be included with all the other data on the player page?

Furthermore, is there a global way to alter how OOTP designs a pitcher's ability to hit? If I want to play in a world where pitchers are NOT the offensive liabilities they have become, but rather they are just as good as anyone else on the team. Do I have to edit every pitcher's rating manually?

I continue to love this game (purchased and enjoyed since OOTP 5), and I will continue to play it without these pitcher features. But since I enjoy a fantasty baseball world in which pitchers can hit as well, I'd love to figure out how to make this happen for me.

Thanks for any suggestions and thoughts.

As for me personally, I always play with a DH, so such a feature is not so attractive.

This might be a good feature to implement an option, however, as I can understand how it might be frustrating after a while to have to go all the way to the batting stats tab for your pitchers.

Micah Owings says hi!

It would be cool to see his batting stats for his career.

In game setup you can export the rosters, which is where batting ratings are stored, import the file into a spreadsheet (it is a csv file with a txt extension) make your global rating changes, save as a CSV file, rename the file to txt and import the file back into OOTP.
