Any Way to Delete a Game?

Can't find a way to do this. I've got several experimental leagues I'd like to delete.

Also, would suggest that the word "game" be replaced with "organization", which would be much more clear and correct. I've never heard of an entire organization with minor leagues, etc, called a "game". Life is tuff for those of us who haven't played OOTP in five+ years!

If you click on "Load a saved league" there is an option to delete any leagues EXCEPT the current loaded one.

Well, I guess you can always go into Explorer and delete the league. Still, should be a function within the game that does it. OOTP is great, but by the 10th version, I would think basic things like printing certain screens, deleting all non-players, and deleting leagues would be available within the menus.

OK, thanks. I was trying to delete the current "game" so 'delete' was greyed out and I didn't even see that it was a button. Seems a bit counterintuitive to delete games through the "load game" function.

Printing is definitely an issue. However, whenever you're on a screen, if you look at the upper right hand of the screen and see a button that says Open in External Browser, then you can open the current screen up in your Browser (such as IE7 or Firefox) and then print it from your browser. However, many, many screens don't have this option. Only option there is to take a screenshot of the screen, paste it in a program like Paint, and then print it.

"Organization" wouldn't make sense...I don't think. A "saved game" refers to your entire baseball world. You could have 10 different leagues in there, each with hundreds of teams.

Or are you seeing a reference to "game" somewhere else that I don't get?

"Organization" would be an improper and misleading way to refer to what OOTP calls a particular "game." In professional baseball, the word "organization" means the administrative structure of one separate major-league ball club, plus all of its minors affiliates, and all associated personnel.

Perhaps "universe" would be a more intuitive way to refer to what OOTP calls a "game," but I suppose thats too broad of a word, or maybe it's too sci-fi for a sports sim. I think that the use of "game" in this context was inherited from the Sports Interactive gaming nomenclature, when OOTP was attached to that company.

I call them worlds, myself, but I agree it would be nice if they were called something other than games. As it is you have OOTP which is often referred to as the game, you have individual games you manage or watch, and then you have these save game files which are referred to as games. It's too much.

Incidentally, although the in-game screens refer to "games" or "saved games," you may notice that in the manual I often refer to it as "your baseball universe."

See here for more information on key terminology.
