Questdog's era appropriate names

Does anyone have this around and can post it? I need it ASAP for a league my bgrother and i are trying to start up. sadly, it doesn't seem to be posted anywhere on the web anymore.

There were also problems with trying to use this, starting in later versions of OOTP9 (game refusing to load type problems). There are work-arounds, but you may want to investigate other options, including doing you own name database tailoring (there is pretty good material on that in the manual).

None of those links work...thus my issue.

And I'd love to make my own with census data in the future, but not to start a league right this minute...

I use Questdog's name files for OOTP9 and OOTPX. However, you will need to edit the name files prior to using them. THis is due to that Questdogs files were created for version 6 (OOTP6). You can use MS Access to mass edit the files to conform with the data structure of OOTPX. Works like a charm for me!

I will send them over to you as soon as I get a chance. I've been pretty busy as of late with my newborn twins. The name files were created by Questdog and I just simply modified his historical name set via MS Access to work with OOTP9 and OOTPX. I just want to make sure Questdog receives credit for the great work he did in creating the historical name sets.

I will get try to get them over to you this week.

I edit Questdog's historical name sets from within the "First Names" text data file to match up with the data structure of OOTP9 and OOTPX. Questdogs name files were created to work with OOTP6. The historical set for OOTP6 is numbered different than later versions, which is why the data file has to be modified. It''s not hard if you use MSAccess to mass edit.

Honestly, it would save me a lot (a hundred hours or more) of work is someone in the know could answer this, please. As it is, I'm very, very slowly trying to change the new files over using the cephasjames system, but holy hell is it slow. If no changes have been made to the cities or nations, I could just use those old files.
