I usually set the line up and leave it until I get injury or new players, but before every game, when I start the play by play, I set it again, put in whos hot, take out the guy that had an error or 2 yesterday.
I also like to have a utility guy I can sub any were, I often have him as a back up and if the AI does not put him in I stick him somewhere

Does anyone else experience interesting roster decisions when you have the AI make decisions for the entire organization (it seems to be fine when asking them to manage your minor leagues)? For example, I had a four star potential prospect (at 23 years of age still) on my 40 man roster and did this and they waived/designated him for assignment, giving him "angry" morale.

I'm sort of in-between. At the beginning of a season with a new team, I'll let the AI do the lineup. But after that, I do it based on how my players are doing, who has the best OBP, SLG, etc.

I used to let the AI set the lineups, but I got frustrated at stupid choices, and had to take the reins away from him. I let the minor league managers handle their own rosters and callups/downs ... I manage my active and secondary roster, all trades, waiver, free agent choices, and ofcourse all major league lineups and pitching staff.
