Free Agents
I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm one of these people who play historical leagues and make trades at the time it happened. I have not yet mastered the art of free agents. After I release someone, how can another team pick them up. Please help.

You release said player, they go to the Free Agents page, teams make offers automatically, and said player signs with the team of choice.
If you want to make a trade as it actually happened, go into comissioner mode, bring the 2 teams up on the trade screen, drag the players into the trade box and use the "force trade" button. Hope that helps. Last edited by Tycobbler; 06-08-2009 at 08:27 AM. |

Thanks Ty,
I appreciate the quick response. But what if you're play a historical replay and player "Smith" is released by the Phillies in May....and is picked up by the Dodgers in June....How can I make sure he gets to the Dodgers. Thanks |

What you really, really do, spice girl style, is to simply go to the player editor page for this player and click on the league dropdown box and choose major league and then click on the team dropdown box and make the choice you wish as far as a new team. The player will instantly move to his new team. Suspend him from the same page if you want dead time.
