Is the 9 import stable enough to not wait for a patch?

I have heard grumblings that 9 import leagues have their HR/avg amounts get out of wack.
Has this been acknowledged? Would a patch set things right in an imported league or would the league have to be imported again?
Just wonder if i should play on, or wait a patch out.

Thanks

I have imported my 9 league into 10 and so far have not seen any issues at all. Then again, I play at a slow pace (only a month and a half in) and I am currently not running a team, just watching the league as a whole. The home run and average numbers look to be on track with what I had in 9 so far

I also play at a slow pace as i sim each game, and micromanage 2 teams.
But i had heard there were issues with a lot of .400 hitters as well as other things.
I had heard others say to bring you teams into 10, but not import. I don't want to lose the league history as i am around 12 years or so.
Thanks for the input.

Just a quick question for you guys who did import already. I waited until after the world series to import and than imported into OOTP X (from 9) and went to sim ahead to the Salary Arbitration hearings and my game keeps freezing. Should I sim until the preseason and than import or is there a better time to import my game?

Any help is appreciated.

What does that mean? I'm not familiar with that.

I imported in the middle of the season and haven't had any problems besides inflated stats... but that could have been the case in 9 as well. I don't know it was my first season.

I backup my league on December 31st of every year. At the time X was released, I was in Spring Training. Not wanting to wait until I played the season out, I just converted my backup of the previous year and replayed from that point. I wouldn't convert mid season, or even in the pre-season.

I am going to give this a try right now. Thanks for the help!

One more question. When you imported your 9 game did it run very slow (to simulate days?) Mine seems to take forever (when it actually did work). When I run the MLB Quickstart game it is about 100x faster.

No it seems to be running pretty well. The only problem is I have lost my star center fielder for the season for the second straight year. Oh, I'm sorry getting a little off task. Just venting, sorry!!

I do this too and burn it to a dvd. I also backup after every session of OOTP. I will then,at 5 game increments, copy the backup to another file on my HD and add the date of the season (ie "06-27-2018_xxx.lg"). This means if the file ever becomes corrupt the most I lose is one turn through the rotation. A bit anal? Maybe, but I have invested too much time, continuous dynasty started in ver 4, to lose it over a lack of a backup

With regard to the OP. Since OOTP moved to the new format, IE v2006 and beyond, Markus has said you can import whenever you want and it will be fine. I have imported once in-season and once between ST and regular season without a hitch. My other two times of importing in post 6.5 versions were done with Dec 31st files. So what ever you are comfortable with.

My v9 imported to vX fine. When I first import I do run a full season simulation and check to see if league totals are still where expected. I don't look at player stats or standings only league totals. With v9-vX I had to do very small changes to my league totals modifiers. Specifically hitting up .009, doubles down .012, and BB up .007. Everything else fell right in line with what my v9 league was producing. Of course YMMV as every league is different.
