Ghost players question

Ok, so I turned it on at first and cleaned up my minors.. but I've decided to let my managers handle the minor leagues and I want full rosters again.. if I turn ghost players off.. will the lower teams sign players when they start playing games or do I need to fill them back up by signing players to fill them?

Since I have the options set for my minor league managers to handle everything, won't they just sign players when needed? My lowest level team has no players.

I'm pretty certain the AI will sign up the players you need, as long as there are enough minor-league type free agents available -- at least I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't, as long as you've put it in charge. If, for any reason, one of your minor league teams is short-handed when the season starts, the game will essentially come to a halt until you fix that situation (which could of course involve turning ghost players back on).

I released them at the beginning of the season, so there should be plenty of FA minor league type players. It's only my low level A team and my rookie team.. so I guess I'll just have to see what happens.

It might be better to use ghost players because the AI still doesnt always understand how to build balanced rosters in the lowest level of the minors.

That's what I was thinking.. but once I weeded out my players, I didn't have anyone playing for two of my low tier teams (besides an all ghost team). I figured if I let the AI handle all my minors, I could leave ghost players off as I would have the same issues as the lower tier AI teams do in reguards to what you are saying happens.

Besides controlling my ML team and managing.. all I really care about as far as my minors go is my AAA team - which seams to be ok as far as I can tell.
