Historical Financials with Smaller Ballparks?

My league plays in small parks - avg. 6,000 seat capacity. I'm trying to use the historical financials, starting 1903, but it sets average attendance to ~4600. I can see that this is quickly going to go above 6,000 and fear that every game will be a sellout. I tried resetting average attendance to 900 (and reducing the salaries as well) but at the end of 1903 it went back to around 4600. I thought that OOTP might use some type of multiplier - i.e. multiply 900 by the attendance increase to get the figure for 1904 - but it looks like it just loads a figure every year from the financials.txt file. Is there any way to do what I want without editing financials.txt?

I figured that. And I also figured it would be relatively straightforward to edit that file. I made my own nations and names files for OOTP9. But it's not. When I open it with a spreadsheet, all the numbers show up in the same row and I get an error. So, I guess I'll have to try to edit it with a text editor.

And the way it's set now, all the teams run out of money, can't sign any free agents...

you need to IMPORT it into a spreadsheet as it is a CSV file with a txt extension.

Yep, that's what I'm doing. I can import all the other .txt files in the database, but financials.txt is formatted differently.

If that is what you are doing it will work. Import as delimited, choose comma as the deliminater and unchoose tab as the deliminator which is what it will have as the default, do not have both checked.

Thanks but I never could get it to import so I just recreated it with MLB attendance figures (scaled to a maximum of 6000). I scaled all the revenue streams back as well. I set the salaries to different percentages of estimated revenue. It seems to be working well. I'm on year 35 and I'm going to let it run until the year 2009 overnight.
