initial draft question

So I did an initial draft with the real MLB setup.. teams obviously have different market sizes now than real life according to whom they drafted.

My question is, should I leave them like they are and eventually teams like Boston and NY will become large again due to their population OR should I go in manually and change them to the real life settings?

I could see some issues when you take a team with a high payroll and then make them a small market team again?

Thanks!

I am not entirely sure what would happen if you leave them as is, but I -think- that a small market New York will be a small market unless it changes on its own down the line.. I could very well be wrong on that however...

It is a bit late now, but what you likely would have wanted to have done it sounds like was during the initial draft check the box to have the budget set pre-draft and have it done by city at that point. Now that OOTPX allows you to do so, the teams would then be forced to draft within their starting budget and larger population cities such as New York start with a higher budget initially.

Thanks.. I thought of that, but I didn't like the numbers it assigned and I didn't want to figure out what I should put for each team.

I just wonder if I manually change them to the correct sizes now, what would happen?

I think I'll just leave it as is since I re-drafted all teams to begin with, no need to penalize them further.
