When do pitchers, batters peak and decline?

Under the OOTP 10 model, I haven't played enough seasons to learn when pitchers and batters tend to peak and decline.

I realize there are exceptions, but on average, at what age do pitchers and batters peak and decline?

I was thinking 24 for pitcher peak, and 31 for start of decline. And 26 for batter peak, and 32 for start of decline.

But those are from a small sample size. Thoughts? Especially from beta testers?

Thanks!

I've had a batter peak when he was twenty-two (drafted when he was 17) and decline around his mid 30s. I think it depends on the player and the way you developed them, imo.

I hate the decline point so i set it to .800, a guy went from 40 HRs in a season to 10 in more at bats at the age of 33 and that pushed me over the edge.

David Ortiz says something like that could never happen in real life.

Ortiz and his 90's and early 21st century ilk might have this attributed to steroid use...not natural decline.

Rob Deer, Glenn Davis and Tom Brunansky might tell you otherwise. Have a glance at history and you'll find quite a few gentlemen who stopped producing after 32.

the thing is, the guy in my game also went from a .350 hitter to a .275 hitter in 2 years, hell he was so good in the beginning of his career that i named the MVP award after him while he was still playing, so he won an award that was named after him, twice
