What's wrong here?

I just finished playing the first season in my fictional league (fictional players set up via an inaugural draft). Everything checks out pretty good (haven't started the playoffs yet), but seems to me that there's a huge home run shortage in this league. For the entire season, the league had 2,391 home runs. The league leader had 30. Guys with actual power ratings of 8 and 9 (1-10 scale) were hitting like 12 home runs. When I set up the league, I ran default modifiers.

Stats for average, doubles, triples, BB, etc. were right in line with what they should have been; pitching stats were good as well- just the HRs seem out of sync. Anyone else have this happen?

Hard to say if there is an issue, on the surface I would say that there is not. What year did you start with? Since it is only one season I would cast it off as a off year for the HR.

However, to test it out copy the league, then run a 20-30 year sim on it and see how the HR production turns out.

More info needed. Start with how many teams. Era settings LT's and LTM's.
