How can I increase talent level in a fictional start up league?

Is there a way to increase the overall talent level when creating a fictional league?

I have worked on creating one exactly how I want it but it always appears as though each team only has two or three guy's in the minor leagues that has any potential whatsoever. Is this normal?

Is there a way to create multiple leagues and then dump them into a larger free agent pool where teams can fill out their rosters with a hire quality player?

I created a 24 team fictional league and simply deleted 6 major league teams. My thought process or hope was that the talent level would simply be dispersed into the inaugural draft but I don't think that happened.

If this happened in real life you would have 24 teams drafting from a pick of 150 major league players plus the additional minor league talent. That is 6 quality, major league players being added to each organization before even getting into the minor league players that would be available.

Thanks for the help and I apologize if I am over-thinking this or missing something entirely.

I usually create 1000 established players eligible for the draft in the free agent screen before the initial draft. I have a 56 team MLB universe so downsize if necessary

Bababui,

Would you list your teams and league structure? 56 teams is interesting.

Yes. Really easy.

Before the draft click on your league screen/free agents. In the bottom middle of the screen is a create fictional player icon. Click it.

Make sure plater type is 'established' and draft eligibility is 'eligible'.

Also, could you not 1. delete the current FA pool before the inagural draft, 2. then change the PCM's and 3. then fill each team with fictional players and 4. then release and schedule an inagurual draft?

2 28 team leagues with 4 divisions of 7 teams. Each team plays a home and home 3 game series against every other team. 27X6=162 games.
