Issue with Strikeouts?

Is it me or not, Ive played every game for the first month and it just seems like strikeouts are way out of control, on both sides, the AI and the user side.

I didnt see another post made about it, but just was curious if I was alone in this though process or not.

Sorry if there is another post, I didnt see one close up at all.

I haven't seen or heard anyone complain about it. Are you playing fictional or historical?

Are they too high, too low? How are they out of control?

What is the LT number for K's in the game set up. Just asking to make sure it is the same as my 2009 default league.

Felix Hernendez in my first year racked up about 250 ks. won the cy, ill go check the other pitchers K totals, but from memory it seems like there are a lot more strikeouts compared to OOTP9 and real life, of course.

Well with all due respect to both posters that doesn't tell us much.

For example if the league is an MLB set up and should show approximately 32,000 K's in a season, what constitutes a problem with strikeouts?

I'd say 16,000 is a problem, so is 48,000. However 29,000 or 35,000 may not be or, could be adjusted with LTM's.

If you don't want to wait a whole season, 32,000 K's is about 5,500 per month. Simply check one month of the actual league strikeouts vs 1/6th of your league totals and see how they compare.

I'll check this LT thing in a bit when I get home, but yeah most games, both pitchers seem to get at least 6 k's a game, most get a k an inning, like each pitcher each game, just seems off, but certainly I'll check this lt thing if you can tell me what it is hehe.

League totals (LT), under the strategy tab in game set up. These are the numbers that serve to buffer your leagues stat output. LTM's, league total modifiers are used to make changes in the leagues stat output.

For example if you do what I asked earlier and find your strikeout totals 10% high, you would set the LTM to 0.900.
